Good news: Announcement to start recruitment of 'Agniveers' from June 24, notification will be issued in 2 days

Amidst the nationwide uproar over the new 'Agneepath scheme' of recruitment in the three services, it has been announced to start the recruitment process of 'Agniveers' from June 24. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said that the government's decision to give one-time relaxation in age to the army has been received and the recruitment process will be announced soon. On the other hand, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary said that the recruitment process will start next Friday i.e. June 24.

In fact, the Cabinet Committee on Security approved the historic 'Agneepath' scheme on June 14 for recruitment in the three services. This was followed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Army Chief General Pandey, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary and Navy Chief R.K. Hari Kumar had jointly announced this scheme by holding a press conference. Under this scheme, Indian youth will be allowed to join the armed services for four years as 'Agniveer'. After training the forces, they will be deployed on the Pakistan-China border. After leaving the Armed Forces, these 'Agniveers' will be given priority in Central Government Ministries and State Government Jobs.

Notification will be issued within 2 days

Meanwhile, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said that the government's decision to give one-time relaxation in age to the Army has been received and the recruitment process will be announced soon. The Army Chief said in a statement that the decision to increase the age limit will provide an opportunity for many of our young, energetic and patriotic youth, who were preparing to join the army's recruitment rallies despite the corona pandemic. General Pandey said that the notification will be issued on http://joinindianarmy.nic.in within the next 2 days and after that, the detailed schedule of army recruitment will be given. The Chief of Army Staff also called upon the youth to take advantage of the opportunity to join the Indian Army as 'Agniveers'. He said that the youth are not aware of this scheme, so they are protesting.

The recruitment process will start on June 24

Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary also said in a statement that the upper age limit for recruitment under the Agneepath scheme has been revised to 23 years, which will benefit the youth. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary said that the recruitment process will be started next Friday i.e. June 24. Under the Agneepath scheme, youth will be able to join the armed forces. The rapidly changing technology-based environment in the Air Force will adapt to which Agniveers will be trained in a high-tech environment. Under the Agneepath scheme, the Indian Air Force will assess the aptitude and attitude of the youth.

Recruitment will be three times or four times more than before

Navy Chief Admiral R. Describing the Agneepath scheme as transformative, Hari Kumar said that now we can recruit three times or four times more than before. He said that the Agneepath scheme can develop the personality of the 'magnifiers' and after four years they can decide whether to stay or not. Hari Kumar said that the main objective of this scheme is to develop nationalist ideas in the country, this will further strengthen the ties between the community and the army. He said that in this scheme the youth have been given the option to change their professional life after four years of service. On retaining 25 percent of Agniveers after four years of service and letting 75 percent go, Admiral Hari Kumar said that we are looking for a transparent system.

Age relaxation of two years this year

At the same time, the Central Government gave great relief to the youth who could not join the recruitment due to Corona. The government has increased the maximum age limit for the scheme from 21 years to 23 years. Now youth up to the age of 23 can apply for this scheme. At the time of the announcement of the scheme, the government had fixed the age limit for recruitment from 17.5 years to 21 years. The reasoning behind this was that due to Corona not joining the army for two years, the age limit has been relaxed this year. Now all the recruitments except officers will be done under the Agneepath scheme only. This year 40 thousand recruitments will be started.
