Varanasi: After the Gyanvapi campus dispute, a petition related to the issue of Bindu Madhav Temple at Panchganga Ghat was filed as a miscellaneous suit in the court of Civil Judge (Junior Division) on Tuesday. This case has been filed by Rajendra Prasad et al. It has been demanded that no one should create any kind of disturbance in the worship of the temple.

Historians claim that the Dharhara Masjid of Kashi was built by Aurangzeb by demolishing the famous 'Bindu Madhav Temple'. The petition filed in this case has been filed by the Court Civil Judge Junior Division City Varanasi today, the original case number 225 of 2022.

According to the experts, the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb had not only destroyed the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, but if any other famous temple was destroyed by Aurangzeb, it was Bindu Madhav temple located on Panchganga Ghat. This temple is now known as Dharhara Masjid. Is known. Experts say that the Dharhara Masjid was built by Aurangzeb around 1669. He built this mosque by demolishing the famous temple of Bindu Madhav on a big platform.

The temple of Lord Bindu Madhav is situated at Panchganga Ghat of Kashi. It is a mythological belief that there is a confluence of two other secret rivers including Yamuna and Saraswati invisibly in the Ganges at this ghat. It is also called Panchganga Ghat because of being the confluence of five rivers. It is said that Raja Mansingh of Rajasthan got the Bindu Madhav temple built in the seventeenth century.

Tailang Swami also installed a huge fifty-man Shivalinga in the Math. Special events of Ganga and Lord Krishna, including Shiva and Rama, are held at this ghat.
