If the consumer takes electricity connection of one kilowatt in the house, then electricity will come to about 8 thousand rupees in a year i.e. the money spent by the consumer goes out in a year.

Similarly, if a 2 kW solar plant is to be installed, then the estimated cost is Rs 76,000. The subsidy on this is 30,400 by the central government. At the same time, the state government will give a subsidy of Rs 30,000 on this, which means that a total subsidy of Rs 60,400 will be available. After spending only Rs 15,600 from the consumer's home, a solar plant of two kilowatts will be ready in the house.

Process available on online portal

Residential consumers wishing to install rooftop solar plants under the scheme can apply online and get rooftop solar plants installed by empaneled vendors. For this, they will have to pay the cost of rooftop solar plant by reducing the subsidy amount to be given by the ministry to the vendor(s) as per the prescribed rate and process in this regard through the online portal of Electricity Distribution Companies (DISCOMS). on given.

It is necessary that the consumer will have to get the solar plant installed by the developers or sellers developed by the government, then only subsidy can be received. With the installation of a solar plant, you will continue to get free electricity with a one-time investment. The company itself will maintain the solar plant for five years.
