Varanasi : The two-day seminar and workshop organized by the Department of Pathology, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, on the subject of Bone Marrow investigation , began in the Trauma Center campus today. These seminars and workshops were held on 14th April and 15th April 2022 at ICH. And it is being done under the aegis of Varanasi Hematology Group. The main objective of this program is to create awareness among the people about bone marrow screening and to educate the general public and doctors about how a small test can detect various types of blood cancers ranging from simple diseases to could. Today it has become possible through modern technology and new research that this test can be done very easily and in less cost and less time.
On the first day of the symposium, eminent doctors and experts from all over the country discussed in detail about the new methods of examination of bone marrow and enriched the knowledge of the participants with their expertise and experiences. He told that this test is very important in detecting any blood disease.
Pro. Tejinder Singh, former Head of Department, Department of Pathology, MAMC, New Delhi, said that blood cancer can be detected at an early stage by bone marrow examination and it can also be treated by molecular studies.

ISHBT President of Prof. H. Husband threw light on blood cancer because due to today's food and lifestyle, blood cancer is increasing day by day, which is a matter of great concern. Apart from this, Prof. Seema Sharma of SGPGI, Lucknow also gave information about the spread of cancer. Dr. Gurmeet Singh and Dr. Neha Singh also discussed the diagnosis and treatment of many blood diseases by bone marrow.
