DM gave instructions to all ABSA and MOIC, speed up vaccination of children aged 12 to 14 years
District Magistrate Smt. Soumya Agarwal has directed all ABSAs and MOICs to expedite the vaccination of children in the age group of 12 to 14 years. He said that so far vaccination is being done in the schools of the Basic Education Council, but now the students of private schools should also be vaccinated. In the review meeting held in the Collectorate Auditorium, he said that at least 100 children should be vaccinated by each vaccination team every day.
He said that according to the number of teams, more and more private schools should be contacted in a day. The vaccination action plan should be made available to the principals of all private schools so that maximum number of children can be vaccinated when the vaccination team arrives. The District Magistrate has directed the Principal of the private school present in the meeting that the vaccination team will go on Tuesday. Get as many children vaccinated as possible. Similarly, by preparing a block wise action plan, children in the age group of 12 to 14 years will be vaccinated in private schools.
A total of 1225007 vaccines of Kovid-19 have been vaccinated in the district. This includes 1163473 senior citizens, 32916 front line workers, 28618 health workers. The above information has been given by District Magistrate Smt. Soumya Agrawal. He said that 29945 people have been given booster dose. He informed that 614068 people have been given first dose and 580994 people have been given second dose.
He informed that a total of 11,20133 doses of Covishield have been administered, out of which 564893 first dose, 527444 second dose and 27796 booster dose have been applied. Similarly, a total of 104879 vaccines have been vaccinated. It has 49175 first dose, 53550 second dose and 2149 booster dose. This vaccination started from 16 January 2021.
He informed that the vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44 years of Kovid-19 was started from 17 May 2021. A total of 2091478 people were vaccinated in this, in which 1707059 people were vaccinated between 18 to 44 years. In addition, 367984 adolescents aged 15 to 17 years and 16435 adolescents aged 12 to 14 years were vaccinated.
