University to be built on 17 acres of land
Kangchenjunga State University will be constructed at Tarku in Timi Namphing constituency of South Sikkim. 17 acres of land has been purchased for the university.

The target is to complete the building of the state university to be built at a cost of about 600 crores in two years. On this occasion a program has also been organized for the State University on the proposed land at Tarku.
