BHU : The Institute of Management Studies organised “Ran_Sangram 2022”, their Annual Management fest on March 13th and 14th2022, after a gap of two years owing to the pandemic induced disruption. “Kalpavriksha” a students’ club of the Institute successfully organized the two-day program in the hybrid mode to facilitate participation across the nation.
The opening ceremony of the event was marked by lamp lighting and garlanding the bust of Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya ji,as is the tradition of Banaras Hindu University.
The Club Coordinator of the Kalpavriksha, Dr. Anindita Chakraborty then briefed the students about the various events and participation of the students. Dean Prof H. P. Mathur expressed his appreciation for the students for taking the initiative to coordinate all the events in both the physical and the online mode and for successfully organizing this program on a grand scale. He said that “the event not only provides the young management students a platform to showcase their talents and compete with students around the country, but also gives them a glimpse of how to implement management lessons in the real world”.
The Director of the Institute, Prof S. K. Dubey in his address to the students, encouraged them to participate in different events and reiterated that such participations have an immense contribution in the all-round development of students. “The enriching experience is more valuable than winning the competitions”, he added.
The day one of the event started with a run-a-thon across the BHU campus where many students enthusiastically participated. The inaugural session started at 10:30 AM followed by the Finalysis -to test the financial analysis abilities of the participants and Mystery Quiz involving questions from all rounds of life. It was followed by Pro-writers, an impromptu story writing competition. Several events like E Sports, 60 seconds to fame, don’t ask Questions and Beg borrow steal were conducted to maintain interaction and delight among the students. The day witnessed overwhelming response from the students present in the campus and students attending the event virtually. The events saw participations from a number of management schools and universities.
The day two of the event promises to maintain high energy with competitions like Dataviz for young data analysts and Admad show for budding marketers and entrepreneurs. Various events like MCU fandom Quiz and Tug of war are also lined up for the day.
The Closing Ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 14th, at 3:00 p.m. for the distribution of prizes to the winners of all the respective events. The winners will be rewarded with cash prizes, certificates and vouchers from the various business houses sponsoring the event.
For the students of the existing batches at the Institute of management studies, this event is the first national level event organized by them. It is a matter of pride for them to continue the legacy of the institute by organizing the sixth edition of the annual management fest of the institute and every student is thrilled to be a part of this program. The event promises to be a grand success with the enthusiastic participation and hard work of the esteemed faculty members and of all the students at the institute.
