The central government is working on many fronts to end the land-related disputes of the people in rural areas and to increase the economic resources. Union Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Giriraj Singh informed that each plot will have a unique Bhu-Aadhaar number. By linking the ownership and ULPIN, every plot of land in the country will get a Bhu-Aadhaar number.
Will get rid of the shock of the Revenue Court
In fact, National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) has been launched in Ladakh and Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) has been launched in Assam. Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that due to technology in Panchayati Raj and land resources, there will be a big increase in the ease of living. The government is contemplating to give a unique Bhu-Aadhaar number to each part of the country by linking the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj to ownership and the ULPIN scheme of the Department of Land Resources. After the introduction of this unique number, corruption and fraud in land matters in the country will become almost zero due to PAN number, Aadhaar number and Bhu-Aadhaar. People will get rid of the hustle and bustle of the revenue court and court cases will be reduced.
It will be easy to get bank loan
During this, he said that having land documents would help people in getting loans from banks. On the other hand, the government will benefit in revenue and there will be ease in the implementation of schemes like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Fertilizer Subsidy, Disaster Management etc.
What is Unique Plot Identification Number
Alpin system has been introduced to prevent fraud and disputes in the management of land and to have a generally unique identity. In which according to the geographical location of the plot, a unique identification is created through the software, which is named as Unique Plot Identification Number (Unique Land Parcel Identification Number). It has been implemented in 14 states and union territories including Assam and pilot test has been done in six states.
Rural economy will get encouragement
He said that having a unique Bhu-Aadhaar number of each land would make it easier to spray pesticides using drone technology and inspect crops under the Crop Insurance Scheme. Delivery can also be done in remote areas using drone technology. Due to these technologies, rural economy will get a big boost and employment generation will also increase.
Digital India Land Records Modernization Program
The Department of Land Resources, Government of India is undertaking the Digital India Land Records Modernization Program specifically to accelerate land related interactions between States and Union Territories. The National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) and Unique Plot Identification Number (ULPIN) system developed under this program have been adopted by various states and union territories.
Computerization of so many villages
So far, the rights records of 6 lakh 11 thousand 197 villages out of 6 lakh 56 thousand 515 villages have been computerized under the Land Records Modernization Program. Out of one crore 62 lakh 71 thousand 742 maps, one crore 11 lakh 51 thousand 408 maps have been digitized. Out of 5223 registry offices in the country, 4884 offices have been computerized, out of which 3997 offices have been linked with revenue offices. Due to which, after the registration of properties, documents are automatically sent online to the revenue offices for filing dismissal.
Implemented in 12 states and union territories
In 2021-22, the implementation of the National Generic Document Registration System has been implemented in 12 states and union territories, which will directly or indirectly benefit about 22 crore people. So far 30.9 lakh documents have been registered through this system, due to which revenue of more than 16 thousand crores has been received.
