Delhi : As a courageous step to make India "self-reliant", the central government has taken a pledge to support the medical sector with all its might in the coming years. This will strengthen the “health infrastructure” of the country in which it will reach its best potential. For this, the central government will establish AIIMS and medical colleges in every district of the country. PM Modi has said this on 7th March 2022 on the occasion of Janaushadhi Diwas.
It is not that the medical field has been neglected in the country before. But yes, the circumstances arising out of the Kovid epidemic changed a lot and changed the need. So today it has become the demand of the times to come. That is why the main focus of the central government is on the medical sector. The central government is now preparing on a war footing to deal with any such challenge that may come to the fore in future. Let us know about it in detail…
22 AIIMS in the country today
Even after so many decades of independence, there was only one AIIMS in the country, but today 22 AIIMS are functioning in the country. That is, now the poor in the country will get easy treatment. Not only this, the central government aims to establish at least one medical college in every district of the country. At present there are 562 medical colleges in the country, out of which 286 are in the government sector, while 276 are in the private sector. Another 175 medical colleges are also in the process of development. There are now 84,000 UG seats as against 52,000 MBBS seats in 2013-14. Several medical commissions are also being set up. About 1,50,000 health and wellness centers have been set up in the country.
Moving ahead on the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas
The Central Government is making tremendous efforts in continuously strengthening the "Health Infrastructure" of the country. India has to be always ready in every situation. But it is also not possible that the government should fight this battle only at its level. Therefore, to fight any disease or epidemic or to deal with any medical emergency, one has to move forward on the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas'. India is now moving ahead on this mantra.
Government fees on half the seats in private medical colleges
Half the seats in private medical colleges will attract the same fees as the government medical colleges. No more money can be taken for fees. Due to this, about two and a half thousand crore rupees will be saved for the children of poor and middle class.
medical education in mother tongue
Not only this, now students will be able to get medical education in their mother tongue, they will be able to take technical education. That is, due to which even the child of the poor, the child of the middle class, even the child of the lower-middle class, have not studied in English in school, now those children will also be able to become doctors. That is, it will give birth to a new revolution in the field of medicine. In this way the decisions of the central government will prove beneficial for the general public. It is natural that when the poor person comes out of poverty and reaches this point, then he will always stand to help his loved ones. In such a situation, maximum welfare of the poor of the country will be ensured.
Lakhs of students and parents aspiring for medical studies
When there will be AIIMS and medical colleges in every district in the country, then the dreams of lakhs of students and parents who aspire to study in medicine will also be fulfilled. Right now there is a lot of competition in this area due to less seats. Therefore, it can be expected that in the coming time, due to increase in medical seats, the country will get more doctors.
